Behind the stage: another story about mother's love

I had my first ER night shift in my new stage last few days. Some of accidents happened and the victims were brought to ER. This was a 53-year-old woman, came with some blood on the face, mild head injury, different lower extremity (thigh) length. Fracture of left femur may clinically diagnosed but thank God from the clinical appearance and monitor, her hemodynamic was stabile.

I asked her what was happening and she told me that... it was weekday, tomorrow her son (who I lately found out is an around 12-year-old boy) needs to go to school but it was already 8.30 and he was still in 'warnet' playing game online. She tried to call him and asked him to go home, but he didn't go home and she thought that it will be better for her to pick him up. She then went to pick him up with her husband (who now became another patient in ER with fracture of left metatarsal and mild head injury) by a motorcycle and, she didn't know exactly what happened, the accident happened.

Then three people came...her children. Her oldest son cried as well her younger daughter. Her youngest son, the one she mentioned before, with guilty face came closer to her. Instead of yell and scream angrily at him (which is perhaps what I probably will do that time. oops), she said like this to him with soft (perhaps weak) motherly tone : 'son, please just stay at home next time. just study at home. okay...' ('nak, lain kali di rumah aja ya...belajar aja di rumah ya...'). I was like '...OMG a mother really is like this'. If it were not a mother, I'm not sure it will be like this. Even they may have a lot different point of view...a mother will at the end of the day always love her children. Mothers' love are true. Love them back, then. (love the mothers of your son as well, fathers) huft... I suddenly missed my mother.
